I Remembered My Self Worth

Hello and welcome back to my blog! For some reason as I typed that out I said it as if I were on my podcast but used the word blog instead. Weird. But anyways, welcome back! This isn't my usual blog post as I've strayed away from a theme of beauty, lifestyle, and fashion to talk about my blogging experience and why I'm doing what I am doing.

Throughout the handful of years, I always wanted something of my own. A place where I can create my own content and have a freedom to share my passions with whoever is willing to read what I put out there, even if people aren't willing to read it. It's still a little part of me that I get total control over.

So I stated blogging but I always felt silently judged for starting one. It took me about seven or eight tries and lots of trial and error to find something that sticks. I think what really helped was being torn down by someone who I thought was going to be in my life forever. It took a lot of reminding myself my self worth and telling myself, "Don't be scared of going for your dreams. Even if they laugh, screw them all."

Along this journey, I've rediscovered my own sense of confidence and self love. One that reminded me that I can do anything I want, especially if I'm passionate about. I shouldn't be scared to chase my own dreams and to try new things. This is a form of an outlet for me. So who can sit there and say what I put all of my energy and emotion into? Nobody but myself.

As I write this post out, I want to inspire people to do what they want to do. If you have a passion or want to try a new hobby - DO IT. Who knows, maybe this could be a career one day? Maybe you'll discover something about yourself that you've never discovered before. If there is one thing I have learned in this past year, it's that there are endless possibilities on what you can achieve. Nobody but YOU is the decider of YOUR future.

What do you want to do with your dreams? Are you worried you're dreaming too high? I have a plan for myself and if you know me, you know I am determined. Mostly because I want to prove to everyone who judged me for starting a blog and now a podcast wrong.

There is something so powerful in knowing your self worth. And if you need that reminder, this is it. You are worth so much more than what people hold you to. If you want something, go for it. Look at how far you've come in life; all of the challenges you've been faced with, the personal demons, and hurdles that seem to appear left and right. But you've accomplished it all and it brought you to where you are today. And you're here for a reason, always always always remember that.

With where I am, I want to share what's on my mind. I want to share my passions and see people who are just as passionate as me enjoy my pieces. Reading blogs and listening to podcasts helped me, so now I want to be there for people who were just in my shoes.

Gaining your confidence back is one hell of a journey, it's exciting and so empowering. What are you going to accomplish next? What do you want to do? Who do you want to inspire? Your future has such bright things ahead of you so go after something you're passionate about and turn it into your own thing. Own it and be proud.

The world won't know what hit it when you remember your self worth and you gain that confidence you never expected you would have. It's powerful and empowering. Be true, be you, and live your life to the fullest. You'll thank yourself later down the road for it.
