New Month, Fresh Starts
Happy Spring, it's so good to hear the sun shining and the birds chirping. The weather is (somewhat) nice and since the sun as been shining I've noticed my winter funk is slowly melting away.
With the spirit of the funk melting away, I decided for this weeks post to be dedicated to the fresh start of a new month and everything I have planning to take care of my self mentally and physically.
You guys, I am thrilled to announce..... I FINALLY HAVE A GYM MEMBERSHIP. As the new month started, I decided to open up a gym membership so I feel more obligated to go. If you know me, you know I've had the hardest time figuring out my fitness journey and truthfully I get five steps into that journey and then give up. But just like blogging, the 9th time is a charm! With the new month, I figured I would step out this non healthy laziness and get my booty to the gym. Slowly, but surely I am adding the gym into my busy schedule so stay tuned.
Another thing this month I am doing for my mental health is taking breaks. I've been doing a lot lately and I am so close to crossing the finish line of school that my academics come first.
When it comes to my content creating, I've been taking breaks and when I have my spare time - I knock out a few photos, blog posts ideas, and brainstorm podcast theme episodes. If you've noticed, I've been a little off my posting schedule. It's good to take breaks from your hobbies and let your body and mind recharge.
Something fun I've recently took up is bullet journaling. This is a great way for me to force myself to keep my planner routine up while doodling and sketching out layouts. Getting crafty on paper has been proven to be a stress reliever. I create a layout that works best for me and it's been really fun so far.
Lastly, to keep myself in a more positive mentality and to keep the ball rolling, I have really taken the "surround yourself with the energy you want to give off" or however that quote goes. I have been trying to surround myself with people who give off positive vibes and positive affirmations. It's the energy I want to take in myself!
With the new month, there is a lot I have planned for my actual content. I have some campaigns in the works, photoshoots planned, podcast guests appearing, and so much more. Truthfully, there is a motivation that hit me once the new month started.
Always make sure to put yourself first and to support yourself no matter what. It's important to take breaks and recharge.
